PUMP SERVICING
Each type of pump requires specific approaches to servicing, which is key to their optimal operation and long service life. Understanding these differences and specificities makes us different at the Matris service center; because we delve into the specifics of use, we find the most suitable materials (seals, oils, etc.), which are often better, more durable and more efficient, and consequently reduce the risk of failures. We add the rest ourselves with process organization, internal control and long-term monitoring of developments. We are not tied to any brand and do not favor anyone in our work.
Among the most common pump types are conventional, vacuum, and hydraulic pumps , each with its own unique characteristics and servicing needs.
- Classic pumps
- are simple hydraulic pumps, the most common of which are surface pumps, submersible pumps, rainwater pumps, heating and cooling pumps, etc. Key features include:
- They use gears to transfer the fluid, creating pressure and allowing the fluid to move.
- They are often used to transport water and other liquids in industry and agriculture.
- are simple hydraulic pumps, the most common of which are surface pumps, submersible pumps, rainwater pumps, heating and cooling pumps, etc. Key features include:
Servicing: Regular maintenance includes checking seals, bearings and rotor condition. It is also important to clean any deposits and deposits in the pump.
- Hydraulic pumps
- are designed to transmit and manage different media, depending on their specific design and purpose, and are mainly used in industrial and commercial applications.
- They work by hydraulic pressure, which is created by the transfer of power through fluids.
- Hydraulic pumps are designed for high efficiency in power transmission and enable precise energy management, which is crucial in industrial applications.

Servicing: includes regular checking of hydraulic fluids, seals and filters. Monitoring of pressure and operating temperature is also important.
- Vacuum pumps
-
- are designed to create a vacuum, removing air or other gases from the system. Their specific features include:
- They use different principles (e.g. rotary, centrifugal, membrane) to reduce the pressure in the system
- … and are used in laboratory, industrial and medical applications where vacuum is required.

Servicing: Regularly checking seals and oil levels is essential, as leaks can affect efficiency and increase wear and tear, resulting in a shorter service life. Filters should also be cleaned and engine performance checked.
In the event of major wear, it is not enough to simply replace consumable elements (seals), but rather to repair damage to other parts, which we carry out based on our knowledge and experience using our machinery:
- 3 and 5 axis CNC centres
- laser welding and
- round grinding.
Every service procedure is fully traceable, archived with supporting service documentation and photo archive. We take into account the specifics of the application and seek solutions that meet or exceed the manufacturers’ basic norms.
