In the verification process, the magnet quality control comes more towards the end, but the diagnostic process itself is very simple and saves many unnecessary steps. In about 20% of cases, this is also the only cause of motor failure.

Using the device and a sensor, we scan the magnetic properties of the rotor around the circumference and along the length of the rotor, and plot a graphical representation of the magnetic field strength on the rotor. The rotor is clamped in the rotating jaws, secured by one of the linear axes, and then the sensor is brought closer to the rotor by the two linear axes.

During the measurement, we rotate the rotor and move the sensor along its length to measure the magnetic field. Finally, the magnetic properties are illustrated with a picture where the rotor is uncovered and the colour represents the polarity and strength of the magnetic field. Finally, you can generate a report for the measurement. Suitable for testing rotors up to 100 kg, up to 800 mm in length and up to 300 mm in diameter.

Rebuilding or replacing rotor magnets

We offer an analysis of the magnets that make up the rotors of synchronous electric motors. In case of malfunctions, we offer removal of the bandage (if present), removal of old magnets, re-magnetisation of old magnets, making new magnets in case of damaged magnets, gluing of renewed or new magnets, making a new bandage.

Rebuilding or replacing rotor magnets covers:

  • magnet analysis,
  • removing the bandage (if present),
  • removing old magnets,
  • re-magnetising old magnets,
  • making new magnets in case the original magnets are damaged,
  • bonding refurbished or new magnets,
  • making a new bandage.
