While Matris is not an electric vehicle repair shop, we are specialists in the rewinding and servicing of Electric Drive Units (EDU). Since 2023, we have been developing and upgrading our service to a premium level. We are confident in stating that the drive units refurbished in our service center are more durable and better protected. The Knowledge Library is constantly being upgraded and updated.
While we are not limited to any particular brand, we are currently focused on Tesla LDU for Tesla Model S (2012–2020), Tesla Model X (2016–2021), and Mercedes-Benz B250e (also known as B-Class Electric Drive)

Although many articles can be found written about how eMoblity is limited by battery technology, range and charging infrastructure, the biggest problem is that vehicles slowly coming out of factory warranty do not have the necessary support from a network of unauthorised repairers.

We are highly specialised in the remanufacture of the electrical part of electric vehicle powertrains. If you wish to benefit from our expertise and services, please send us the electro-drive part of the unit (stator and rotor) to our address. After acceptance, dismantling and inspection of the condition, we will send you an offer for renovation. Once you approve it, we’ll get to work. You always get a 1-year Matris guarantee on the work carried out. For an extra charge, 2 years.
We are not a garage and do not service vehicles; nor do we dismantle powertrains.
What is replaced
Winding material Every winding is performed with completely new copper wire. All phase connectors are also replaced with new ones — copper, nickel-plated, and dimensioned according to OEM specifications. We also replace the temperature sensors (NTC 100 kΩ thermistors) with new ones, equipped with green and blue cables for the connector.
Protection and testing The new epoxy compound completely covers the entire stator — unlike Tesla’s factory version, which only covers the winding heads. Before dispatch, every stator is tested with a Schleich MTC-2 device, and we guarantee GΩ-level insulation durability.
Trust the experts Every stator that leaves our service center is better protected, more durable, and more efficient than the factory unit. We offer a 2-year warranty on the work performed.
We are not a vehicle service center and do not disassemble drive units — we regularly rewind stators, and we are also capable of rotor repairs upon request.
